MCS Accredited Company
To safeguard the standard and quality of renewable energy technologies, the Government has introduced The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). Only installations carried out by MCS Registered companies like REACT4U will be eligible to receive the Feed in Tariff (F.I.T.)
This is an independent scheme designed to certify microgeneration products and services in accordance with consistent standards. To achieve these high standards, microgeneration products and installers are evaluated against robust criteria thus providing greater protection for consumers.
The MCS is the only certification scheme to cover all microgeneration products and services. The certification body has the full support from the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
Industry and non-governmental groups are a prime method for making a substantial contribution to cutting the UK's dependency on fossil fuels and carbon dioxide emissions.
The MCS also underpins the DECC's grant scheme, the Low Carbon Buildings Programme. Grants will only be available to applicants using both products and installers certified under the MCS schemes. Other initiatives such as the proposed stamp duty land tax relief for new zero carbon homes are also likely to use MCS in the future.
Being an MCS Accredited installer means that we operate to the highest possible standards and are able to carry out work on domestic houses, public buildings, and also commercial properties.

REAL Assurance Scheme
To further underpin the effectiveness of the MCS Scheme accredited installers are obliged to sign up to a Code of Practice such as REAL (Renewable Energy Assurance Listed). This is in line with the Office of Fair Trading's Consumer Code of Approval Scheme thus generating consumer confidence in the suitability of these products and services, both from a technological and cost perspective.
